The Science of Natural Intelligence: How to harness your potential
On 21 March 2026, Professor Selva Pankaj launched his latest book – The Science of Natural Intelligence – explaining how natural intelligence is the key to success.

In The Science of Natural Intelligence, Prof Pankaj describes how to succeed by combining ideas from several great thinkers with his own understanding, making the key principles for success accessible for a new audience. He takes ideas from the last century from Napoleon Hill and other writers and brings them up-to-date using his own experiences in life and business, along with wisdom from contemporary thinkers.
Prof Pankaj’s approach is scientific, studying success to identify patterns and testing these, while acknowledging that there are also natural laws – an intangible force, power or influence – that shape the world. The focus of this book is our human potential: when we apply these natural laws effectively, what Prof Pankaj calls natural intelligence.
Across 21 chapters, Prof Pankaj shares thoughts about how we can all achieve our goals, by thinking scientifically about natural intelligence and applying it. While many of the ideas in the book are centuries old, Prof Pankaj makes them relevant for today. He explores how the changes we are experiencing now and those that are bound to come, especially in terms of technology and AI, make it essential that we understand and nurture our natural intelligence.
The book is full of practical, actionable advice. It encourages the reader to set goals that are meaningful to us as individuals, to take control of our lives and make things happen. At its heart the book is optimistic; Prof Pankaj believes that by combining our natural intelligence with artificial intelligence we will achieve intelligence augmentation. In The Science of Natural Intelligence, Prof Pankaj guides his readers on that path.
